MM Church is MM Church, a Biblical Reflection
Read below without any favor or partiality.
Most MM Church members are very much emotionally depressive, resentment, and bitterness about ongoing issues in our church. It's very reasonable to react like that. Its their church in many ways. I have no doubt about ownership of land and property as well as the congregational tradition of MM Church members. But, I urge you to think beyond that identity and comfort. So, current events are not a Biblical way of dealing with this matter. Whatever the case, eventually, this situation will evolve in 4 scenarios in future.
MM Church will be Cathedral
MM Church will be MM Church by legal fight
MM Church will be MM Church by force and confrontation
MM Church will be MM Church by reconciliation
Here, option 4 is almost dead. If any door is still open, explore it at any cost till last breath, because it is the most important among the above options. Now, option 2 and 3 are playing at a high stage. Critically, scenario 3 is playing in various forms among those fighting for MM Church. It’s immature and unwise. One such occasion has happened recently regarding choir, earlier public protests, some kind of mass public movements, demonstrations, forceful entry to church or related etc. All these amounts to causing violence, hatred and highly stressful; more than that unbiblical. So, stick only on scenario 2, legal fight. Sometimes, never win; sometimes win in future: so wait patiently without making it more complicated. In waiting, there are options to go nominally to MM Church or seek other fellowship.
The problem with people who fight for MM Church is that they are super emotional with obsession and compulsion for MM Church, which is clearly unbiblical. Also, considering it as a personal and prestigious issue for some people and prone to start provocation from the other side. As per my understanding, God never asked us to force or compel anything from God or for God or other people. That's not Christian Biblical way. Due to all these development results.
Many families and individuals lost peace and live everyday with distress and uncertainty about the future of MM Church.
Their marital, family and spiritual discussions with full of this topic with pain
Frustrations of injustice in front of our eyes from various places
Super successful growth of Dark Tetrad Personality (DTP) leadership and priests of the Church caused further bitterness and resentment.
These contemporary developments happening around us as a genuine Bible believing Christian is a serious intellectual and spiritual contradictions and confrontation can develop in our mind. This should not be allowed. Because, our Father is not an author of confusion.
I think if we conduct an independent secret opinion poll among all MM Church Members with follow options:
I Want MM Church
I Want MM Cathedral
I am not bothered
Most of them will answer ‘I am not bothered’, may be 90% of them.
At this juncture, we want to think about the fact that most MM Church members are not interested in explicitly confronting this matter anyway. I suspect that they are not fighting explicitly, because of any one of two reasons below.
Pleasing leaders for SKD jobs or MBBS seats etc. or afraid of backslash in their social status or what others may think or failure of their intervention or passive - Luke warm Christianity. (I suspect most in this category, but I like to be wrong in this assessment).
Going by the Biblical way.
I know and perfectly aware as well as believe that most of people who fighting for existence of MM Church are genuine and have good intentions. But they are stubborn. As per my understanding, it's unbiblical and causes damage to the name of God. So, leave it from personally and emotionally. We don't want to play God. As Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Therefore, as serious Bible Believing Christian, we are not put ourselves into compulsion to recover MM Church emotionally or physically.
I request MM Church Movement leaders to go into introspection Biblically and think critically rather than considered it emotionally or as a prestige issue. Your goal or intention is good but strategy is bad. You are damaging perception of many naive believers by hybridizing genuine Christian spiritual zeal with emotions and prestige. Also, you are wasting many good moments in your & their family, now filled with super charged Church debate. Also, it is noticed from actions and reactions of some leaders are not fully guided by scripture, but their self interests also, such as social status, power or prestige.
The Bible prioritizes peace, unity where possible, avoidance of violence, and trust in God amid trials rather than ongoing strife or emotional bondage. Here is a scriptural evaluation and practical solutions.
Avoiding Forceful Actions (Ex: recent choir incident)
Scripture repeatedly calls believers to pursue peace and reject strife or forceful takeover. Forcing entry into a building, even a church, risks turning a dispute into fleshly conflict, which Paul warns against (Galatians 5:19-21 lists “fits of rage” and “dissensions” as works of the flesh). The early church resolved issues through appeal, teaching, and separation when needed—not physical confrontation or allow us to attack by DTP leadership and priests. It’s foolish. So, avoid and flee. There is Biblical validity of considering Church building and premises as a Second Home.
Avoiding Situations Likely to Lead to Physical Fight or Assault
I don't think their is no biblical validity to use force or demonstration or protest in ministry or church or any spiritual platform. Jesus did it, but I think that is not prescriptive to New Testament Church. Better way Biblically, I think, keep way from all these. The Bible distinguishes spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:12) from physical violence and urges fleeing unnecessary danger when possible. Believers are called to be “gentle” and “not violent” (1 Timothy 3:3 on leaders, but a model for all). Protesting in ways that risk assault contradicts the call to wisdom and self-control (James 3:13-18 contrasts earthly “disorder” with heavenly “peace”).
Legal fighting (pursuing justice through authorities) has some precedent (Paul appealed to Roman law in Acts 25-26), but it must not consume the believer or become a source of bitterness (Ephesians 4:31). If it leads to endless anxiety, Scripture prioritizes the heart’s peace.
Leaving the Issues, Avoiding Depression/Anxiety, and Seeking Fellowship Elsewhere (or at Home)
This is valid and often encouraged when unity cannot be restored. The Bible does not treat a specific building or institution as irreplaceable. The true church is the body of believers (1 Corinthians 12:27), not a property or name.
• Hebrews 10:25 urges not forsaking assembling, but this refers to gathering with believers—not a specific conflicted congregation.
• On division and unrepentant overreach: Romans 16:17: “Watch out for those who cause divisions… and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.”
• Titus 3:10-11: “Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.”
• On anxiety/depression: Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
• 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
• Matthew 11:28-30: Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him.
Believers in the New Testament often relocated for gospel, safety, or fellowship (e.g., Aquila and Priscilla in Acts 18). Home fellowships were common (Romans 16:5; Colossians 4:15). If leaders act divisively by forcing changes, deleting records, and demanding re-application against the majority’s will, this resembles the “divisive person” warned against. Staying in unresolvable conflict can hinder worship and spiritual health.
Unity is highly valued (Ephesians 4:3: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace”; Psalm 133:1), but it must be “in the Spirit” and around truth—not enforced by human power plays. Jesus prayed for unity among true believers (John 17:20-23), but Paul separated from those causing harm (e.g., warnings in 2 Timothy 2:14-17).
Considering Church Tradition is the most important thing is dangerously misleading those who want to seriously prioritize Biblical values and doctrine. Historically, most churches failed due to placing tradition over scripture.
Note on Dark Tetrad Personality Disorder:
It has four symptoms/traits:
Narcissism (self inflated sense of superiority - me first)
Machiavellianism (manipulation and deceit)
Psychopathy (lack of empathy)
Sadism (deriving pleasure on others pain)
All or some of these traits can be seen in our church leaders and many priests (pastors).
I am writing this Biblically, for getting calm and being peaceful with hope in minds of individuals and families who are genuinely fighting for MM Church. God Bless You.
