As of March 2026, it is not possible to trace exact descendants of Abraham using any modern advanced technologies. Because of no reference DNA, DNA dilution over time, pedigree collapse, shared ancestry, ancient DNA mixing and impurities etc.
Through technologies, we can get some possible hints or correlations from population histories among Abrahamic groups. But exact descendants of Abraham remains unverifiable and outside reach of genetics, archeology, or any other methods.
Most of full-scale tracing would require faith-based or traditional interpretation, not empirical evidence.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam are known as monotheistic Abrahamic Religion. All are claiming Abraham as their forefather based on faith and tradition.
Areas of absence of historical or scientific evidence are always prone to debate to understand truth. But, based on present available information to me after recent hours rechecking on my knowledge, I strongly believe/consider that Jews, Christians and Islam are Abrahamic religions and descends from him. Also, based on the Bible, I believe Jews are promised descendents of Abraham through his son Isaac and grandson Jacob, chosen to inherit Covenant and Land of Canaan by God. If you think otherwise, I have no problem, you can have your beliefs. Good luck. But I am not that way.
Based on research methodology, if we set some criteria to drain out Islam from Abraham based on present limited scientific historic events, then simultaneously, those criteria will be applicable to Jews also. Then, Jews also will out from Abrahamic traditions. It's a problem and limitations of depending totally on scientific methods to understand history on historical events.
(Originally, I wrote this for responding someone online claimed, muslims are not descendants of Abraham)
